Commercial Pricing Specialist

As a Commercial Pricing Specialist, you'll work at the intersection of data, pricing and commercial strategy, leading the analytical side of client engagements. It's a hands-on role: you'll work directly from clients' own transaction data, run the pricing analysis, build models, shape the approach and translate findings into commercial recommendations. You'll be expected to be comfortable with ambiguity and to own your workstreams from the start.

Key responsibilities

Pricing diagnostics and analysis

  • Work from data to quantify price dispersion, discount leakage and margin erosion across customers, products and channels.

  • Build, maintain, and defend pricing and business models.


Pricing strategy and commercial design

  • Translate the analysis into price structures, segmentation and commercial business cases.

  • Support go-to-market work with positioning, channel economics, and the logic behind price levels, discount rules and approval rights.

Client engagement and advisory

  • Lead working sessions with finance and sales, usually in Dutch, and present findings.

  • Prepare client-ready deliverables, clear, structured and insight-led.

Method and platform enablement

  • Scope engagements and design the methodology with senior colleagues.

  • Turn each engagement into reusable method inside our pricing platform.

Your profile

You combine quantitative rigour with commercial instinct. You bring:

  • 3–5 years of commercial pricing experience, in a B2B business or a consultancy.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics, business, statistics or a related quantitative field.

  • Strong quantitative skills, comfortable working with data daily.

  • Commercial instinct, you think beyond the numbers and ask “so what does this mean for the business?”

  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Native or fluent in Dutch; excellent command of English.

  • Based in (or close to) Amsterdam and willing to work on-site from our Amsterdam office.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with specific pricing research techniques, such as Van Westendorp or Conjoint.

  • Experience with a CPQ tool.

  • A good understanding of some programming language.
