Brand Strategist, Senior

Your mission

As a Brand Strategist, you sit at the centre of brand and marketing efforts, helping leadership teams shape a story that is clear, credible and commercially relevant - and ensuring it can be brought to life in practice.

As a Brand Strategist, you operate at the intersection of business strategy and brand. You work closely with C-level and senior leadership teams to shape positioning, narrative and direction, always grounded in commercial reality.

You are equally comfortable sharpening strategic choices as you are translating them into narratives that inspire action. Your storytelling skills help align teams, create momentum and make complex strategies feel tangible.

Key responsibilities

  • Brand & market insight. Analyse markets, customers and competitors to identify credible positioning opportunities in a B2B context.

  • Brand positioning & narrative. Define positioning, value propositions, mission, vision and values that are differentiated, relevant and actionable.

  • Strategic facilitation. Design and lead working sessions with leadership teams to align perspectives, sharpen choices and build ownership.

  • From strategy to execution. Translate brand strategy into practical guidance for messaging, content, design and go-to-market decisions.

  • Collaboration across disciplines. Work closely with colleagues across strategy, content, design, data and growth to ensure brand strategy is consistently applied.

Your profile

  • 5+ years of experience in brand strategy, positioning or consulting roles

  • Strong commercial sense and understanding of business models 

  • A strong sense for narrative and storytelling in a B2B context

  • Confidence working directly with senior stakeholders

  • Structured thinking, clear communication and sound judgement

  • Fluent English is required; Dutch is a plus

  • Based in (or close to) Amsterdam and eligible to work in the Netherlands

  • 5+ years of experience in brand strategy, positioning or consulting roles
